
Watched by 1.2 million viewers each week, Energy-TV is a news magazine-style television program with an eye on the energy industry. Because its viewers are sophisticated and tech-savvy, they needed a website that allowed users to interact with the Energy-TV offering on the web.

Each Energy-TV episode is divided into several stories, or segments. The energy industry itself spans many products, careers and issues – each of which appeal to a certain niche within the sector. As each Energy-TV episode may cover several stories that aren’t intrinsically connected, Suitcase had to create a way for users to quickly and easily find the content that interested them.

Suitcase Interactive built the Energy-TV website with energy-industry segmenting in mind. Each episode was broken down into individual stories – each a few minutes long – and posted as its own video. Videos were then tagged with key words, allowing users to quickly sort videos by interest. Users could then watch the quick-loading videos in a custom-built video player.
